Long Oil Alkyds    

Long oil alkyds are characterized by having an oil content greater than 55%. They are used extensively for interior and exterior architectural finishes, deck coatings, and chalk adhesion modifiers for latex paint. The high oil content helps give a smooth brushing action. These resins are infinately soluble in aliphalic type solvents. Some high solids systems may be cut in aromatic or oxygenated solvent systems.

  • Good gloss retention and durability
  • Tack free times of 1-1/2 - 6 hours
  • Through dry times of 8 -36 hours
