Oil Alkyds |

| Medium
oil alkyds are typically modified with 40-55% oil content. They are
faster drying than the long oil alkyds. Typical solvent systems for
these products are the alipahtic solvents. Some may be cut in aromatics
or oxygenated solvents for high solids. Most will accept infinite
dilution with aliphatic solvents. |

Properties:
- Tack
free times of 1-3 hrs for air drying
- Good
combination of hardness and flexibility
- Can
be used in brush or spray applications
- Good
durability and gloss retention
- Limited
use for baking finishes due to low hydroxyl functionality.
